Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Andrey Burtsev, based in Israel (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you use Close It (the “Service”). It works together with our Terms of Service.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name and email address, collected through our authentication provider when you sign up or sign in (including via Google or Apple).
  • Usage data: the tickers you analyze, your analysis history, and your credit balance and activity. Some of this is stored locally in your browser and some is stored on our backend.
  • Technical data: standard log and device information needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your data

  • to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • to process subscription payments;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Service providers (sub-processors)

We share data with trusted providers only as needed to run the Service:

  • Clerk, authentication and account management.
  • Convex, backend database and application hosting.
  • PostHog, privacy-friendly product analytics (page views and clicks), used only after you accept the cookie notice.
  • A payment processor (such as Stripe), which will handle payments once paid plans launch. We never store your full card details.

These providers process data under their own terms and data processing agreements. Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Cookies and local storage

The Service stores data in your browser’s local storage (for example, your analysis history and credit balance) so the app functions correctly. We also load web fonts from a third-party provider (Google Fonts), which may receive your IP address. We show a consent notice on your first visit, and you can clear stored data anytime by clearing your browser storage for this site.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can clear locally stored data by clearing your browser storage for this site.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, or to request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at closeithq@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
